Become Charity has a free advice line to help with care issues. It also has free downloadable factsheets on a variety of topics such as Pathway Plans, the financial support available to care leavers, having a place to live. The factsheets are available in a number of languages eg Arabic, Kurdish, Pashto

Careleavers' Information This site provides access to a host of useful websites for careleavers, on issues such as money, education, health, housing etc

The Care-Experienced Young People’s Network (YPN) is a small group of care-experienced (CEP) young people, who worked together for two years on their own research projects, podcasts and a campaign. This includes useful information on getting your first home and a series of podcasts about issues for care leavers.

Foster Care Co-operative. The only not-for-profit ‘co-operative’ fostering agency in the UK.

Fostering Network – a charity working for people with a personal or professional involvement in fostering; information about their campaigns, support for foster-parents etc. Remember, fostering agencies are always looking for committed foster carers!

ISP Foster Care Agency. An independent fostering agency founded in 1987 by a small group of foster carers in Kent who were working with difficult-to-place teenagers. They recognised the need for an integrated programme of care and specialist services for young people, so set up ISP as an independent organisation.

Just for Kids Law - a charity providing legal support, advice and representation to young people who find themselves in difficulty or who wish to challenge a decision

National Youth Advocacy Service offers information, advice, advocacy and legal representation to children, young people and vulnerable adults through a network of dedicated paid workers and volunteers throughout England and Wales

Propel is a website for care leavers telling them exactly what higher education institutions across the country offer to care leaver students eg what bursaries and grants are available and what welfare and accommodation they can get at each college and university

The Step Change website gives practical advice on how you can tackle debt problems 

The Prince's Trust is a youth charity that helps young people in a variety of ways such as helping them start their own businesses, attend training courses, etc

Unite Foundation offers a unique accommodation scholarship, for those who are 25 and under, and who have experienced the care system or are estranged. It takes care of  students’ accommodation and bills, covering up to 3 full years of study across a network of 26 universities in Scotland and England.
